MOSES LAKE - Highlights from the International Council of Shopping Centers' RECon (Retail Real Estate Convention) will be the focus of the Grant County Economic Development Council's luncheon next Thursday.
Eight representatives from Grant County went to the annual convention in Las Vegas this past May to meet with developers and retailers. More than 32,000 people attended the three-day convention, according to the EDC.
Emily Braunwart, accounting and communications manager for the EDC, said the group will talk about their experience at the convention during the luncheon.
Braunwart attended the convention on behalf of the EDC.
"We're going to talk about how the Retail Task Force started, what our goal was, getting to RECon, what we learned from it and what our future goals are going to be," she said.
Braunwart said the trip to Las Vegas was successful.
"We learned a lot," she said.
The luncheon will be held July 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Masto Conference Center inside Big Bend Community College's ATEC building.
The cost is $25 per person, which includes lunch.
The ATEC building is located at 7662 Chanute St. NE.
For more information, or to reserve a seat for the luncheon, contact the EDC at 509-764-6579.
