Evening Bistro Launched by Crystal Cruises | Compare Away

By Chris Bradley

Crystal cruises offers its passengers almost a dozen choices for dining on each of their ships. However, among all of them it is The Bistro that is the most popular for daytime gatherings. Due to its popularity in the daytime, it has been decided to expand the opening hours to the evening as well. Guests will therefore have an extended choice of evening eating places.

The Bistro is in a European style resembling a pavement caf? and so the menu will include food and drink that reflect its style. There will be small bites and desserts as well as midnight snacks to accompany the flavoured coffees and premium wines being served. Toni Neumeister, Vice President Food and Beverage Operations, explained that The Bistro brings the elegance of the European caf? but has also expanded the evening dining choices for guests.

The Bistro has a central location and has always served continental breakfasts, fresh fruits and afternoon snacks with teas and coffees. They use Guy Buffet china and six star service and this will all still be the case in the evenings, but with an expanded menu. Between six and eight pm they will offer charcuterie of cured meats and international cheeses with wine and champagne. Then from eight until eleven there are Artisanal cheeses with accompaniments and fresh fruits and desserts such as a chocolate fountain and petit fours with wine and hot drinks. Lastly from eleven until midnight there are mini sandwiches, pizzas, tandoori chicken, pizza and beef sliders.
